It is you and your 250lbs, your years of training, your speed, your dedication, and your will shoving around a sweaty grunting man beast bent on sending you to the ground. Trying his hardest to beat you in the most basic one-on-one battle that exists. Biding his time to embarrass you and steal the glory. This is where you fight back to become an all-star and avoid a face full of turf.
Welcome to the trenches G101 readers.
We know you have opinions. We know you tell it how it is. But do you have the mental magnitude to answer the really tough questions? To answer the unanswerable, to wield your wits and your knowledge into debates that have no simple "of course we need better defense" easy excuses. If you do, we challenge you to get down into the muddy trench and duke it out with your fellow readers for all the glory.
Every few days we will post a question available from this page and the Battle in the Trenches box in the right side bar. View the question and take a side. Tell us who wins and why. We aren't looking for one word answers; its time to put that Giants knowledge to the test and defend your thesis. Tell us how you really feel and what you really think. Go ahead and submit your entry (one per user per battle). Entries are hidden while the battle is open. Once we close the battle our writers and staff will review the answers, pick a winner and display that post under the question. We will also show everyone's answers so you can see why exactly you lost…or won. And in case you though this was just for fun – its not. We are keeping score below and the top three winners will receive special prizes at the end of the year just in time for the holidays or playoffs (fingers crossed).
