Free agency is a wild time in the NFL, with players coming and going, being released, signed or re-signed and, in some cases, retiring. Ultimately, it's a difficult thing to keep track of. So, at least in the case of the New York Giants, we here at Giants 101 breakout the 2014 Free Agency Scorecard.

Out of the 23 unrestricted I only want 10 of them back: Andre Brown, nicks, Tuck, Joseph, Patterson, Beason, McBride, Thomas, Stevie Brown and Mundy

From the tendered guys, Paysinger is the only guy, but Herzlich is a capable special teamer and Hyonski might be a better FB portion than Conner

  2. James Stoll says:

The above list along with the overall performance of the remaining players under contract make it imperative that the giants decide on their coaching situation quickly.
If the entire coaching staff were to go, it would likely take 3+ weeks to find a new head coach! and then additional time for him to build his staff
That would leave JR and his group operating somewhat in a vacuum in terms of meshing player valuations with coaching philosophy
This probably means nothing will change at the top, other than perhaps Gilbride
But if Gilbride is on the block and Tom goes to serious bat for him, Mara has to be prepared to act quickly and decisively

I usually agree with you Jim but you lost me with the Hynoski thing, Conner is 10x the FB as him. I like Hyno but Conner is the better player.

  4. Kettles78 says:

If it could work out I wouldn’t mind seeing these guys back RB Andre Brown, TE Bear Pascoe, WR Hakeem Nicks, OL Kevin Boothe, DE Justin Tuck, DT Linval Joseph, DT Shaun Rogers, LB Jon Beason, S Stevie Brown,CB Terrell Thomas, K Josh Brown,LB Spencer Paysinger, and LB Mark Herzlich and if it was a cheap deal Keith Rivers.
