On November 11th at FDU’s Rothman Center, representatives of all four New York Giants Super Bowl championship teams will be gathering for the benefit of the "Friends of Rich Fritzky" as they do each year. The event will run from 6:00 PM EST through 9:00 PM EST and feature an all you can eat buffet, unlimited autograph session, photo opportunities, as well as live and silent auctions. Tickets are only $60 per person or $500 per table and all proceeds benefit "Friends of Rich Fritzky."

Below is a video promo from a previous banquet to get a better feel for the event.

About the event:

Led by Ken Vehrkens, the Dean of the Petrocelli College and Giants’ veterans, George Martin and Perry Williams, friends of Rich’s, the evening benefits Rich and his family, who will forever be victimized by the impact of Rich’s incredible bout with neisseria meningitis in 2005 and 2006. The quadruple amputations and permanent disability that resulted from it are but one part of an amazing story.

About Richard Fritzky:

Fritzky, father of 12 children, 20-year president of the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce, editor of Meadowlands USA and adjunct professor at the Anthony J. Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies for 30 years, contracted a rare form of meningitis in October 2005. He underwent months of coma, strokes, amputations, 22 operations and kidney failure. Fritzky was hospitalized for 441 days and lost both feet, both legs and all but the stump of one-half of one finger. He miraculously survived and is at home teaching an online course for FDU and still serving as editor of Meadowlands USA. He continues to have many health challenged including renal failure, but his courage and spirit are a remarkable testimony to the human will to survive.

Current and Former Players Slated to Attend:

Hakeem Nicks, James Brewer, Steve Weatherford, Ottis Anderson, Harry Carson. George Martin, Perry Williams, Odessa Turner, Joe Morris, Stephen Baker and potentially dozens more.

The deadline to make reservations for this event is November 4th, and all checks can be made payable to "Friends of Rich Fritzky" and mailed to Denise Wisniewski, Fairleigh Dickenson University, 1000 River Road, H-DH1-02, Teaneck, NJ 07666.
