The 27-year-old Connor was attempting to go through with the knife in his possession when a TSA official first noticed that he had the weapon in an x-ray machine, which lead to them notifying the Philadelphia police.
Connor was then arrested around 9 AM and charged with possession of an offensive weapon but was later released from custody on his recognizance.
The Giants had signed Connor to a one-year deal back on March 16 and were looking for him to compete for the starting middle linebacker job in 2013 alongside Mark Herzlich. It will be very interesting to see how the Giants handle Connor's arrest now and if they decide to keep him or release him as a punishment.
Back on July 1, we at Giants 101 reported on how the New York Giants had the sixth lowest arrest total in the NFL since 2000 at 13. With the latest events involving Connor, that unfortunate number has increased to 14.
