Ever since the NFL incorporated the standardized Super Bowl logo in 2011, anticipation of the annual unveil has been less than titillating. 2013 has been no different, and although much has been made about the big game being held outdoors in a cold weather stadium, excitement over the logo has been nearly nonexistent. Alas, the release came and went on Saturday without much fanfare.
Still, there are those out there who would be interested in seeing what Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium has in store, and we at Giants 101 live to please. Accordingly, we would like to share with you the brand new Super Bowl XLVIII logo courtesy of SportsLogos.net.
As you can see, this is the first Super Bowl logo since Super Bowl XLV that features any sort of customization or localization. And although not much, it is a drastic improvement upon the plain jane look from each of the last three years.
