Not content to let newly signed Kregg Lumpkin back up Ahmad Bradshaw and David Wilson, the New York Giants are reported to be preparing to bring in Ryan Torain, who last played for this week's opponent the Washington Redskins.
Jason La Canfora tweets that "it sounds like the Giants will in fact add Torain," which jibes with Mike Garafolo's tweet earlier this week that Torain stood out at the bye week workout.
It's not surprising to see the Giants bringing in two bodies, seeing that Bradshaw is chronically nursing injury and Wilson is all but untested.
Selvish Capers is our best bet to be sent packing to clear a roster spot for Torain, if it indeed happens.

More Eagle bashing. Because it’s fun and noone cares about these RB’s.
In the 3 games that the Eagles won this year, they’ve won by a total margin on 4 pts.
one pt against the Browns, 1 pt against the ravens and 2 pts against us.
They could have been winless!
It’s amazing to think at one point they were 3-1, with wins coming against both us and Baltimore.
I doubt anyone will claim babin because of the money he makes. They will let him clear waivers then make a run at him. The Redskins make sense.
It seems strange to sign two RBs. Maybe Lumpkin was signed as a special teams guy that can help on 3rd downs. While Torrian was signed to be a short yardage runner. Capers is definitely most likely to go but by bringing in a special teams guy someone like Sash could be in trouble as well.
It’s not strange at all. The Giants were tempting fate only going with 3 once they put Scott on IR. What happens is exactly this: you’re one injury away from being scarily short at the position.
With Bradshaw’s injury and Wilson’s lack of experience, they almost have to bring in two bodies. They can’t let Bradshaw go 25-30 times a game like they did earlier this year.
You’re right. I long said we should carry 4 RBs before the season. I got caught up with the current set up and forgot the vary reason you mentioned are why I though 4 RBs.
Kendall Hunter and Kyle Williams out for season for SF.
I think losing Hunter is a real blow for them. As good as Gore has been for them, I think Hunter has been a little better. They do have James, Dixon and Jacobs. But Hunter has been a really good, underrated player for them the past 2 years.

According to a source, former Rutgers RB/FB Joe Martinek is no longer on the Giants PS.
What does that mean? Did he get promoted? Cut? Signed by another team?
With two running backs in house, they are probably clearing a spot on the PS for Selvish Capers.
Makes sense.

Cowboys fans petition Obama to oust Jones as owner
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
“We, the Citizens of the Great State of Texas, and Dallas Cowboys fans worldwide, have been oppressed by an over controlling, delusional, oppressive dictator for way too long. Request the Executive Branch’s immediate assistance in removal of owner and GM, Jerry Jones. His incompetence and ego have not only been an extreme disappointment for way too long, but moreover, it has caused extreme mental and emotional duress.”
According to the Dallas Morning News, the petition didn’t even have 100 signatures, while 25,000 are needed for a petition to even be considered.

You’d send a message to Jerry Jones if you stop watching the Cowboys on Tv and stop buying their sh!tty merchandise
Well, this solves our RB problems. It’ll be good to see these guys on the field against the Foreskins.
Just watched this from ESPN. Remembering Sean Taylor.
Rolle has some nice things to say about Sean.
