After watching New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning orchestrate another of his signature fourth quarter comebacks to beat the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon, a fan fell from an escalator attempting to exit MetLife Stadium – somewhere between field level and the ground floor near the Verizon Center. The 42-year-old man fell about twenty-one feet onto a metal stage and was critically injured.

Sgt. Adam Grossman of the New Jersey State Police said the man was leaving the stadium around 4 PM when the incident occurred. Grossman also stated there is no clear reason as to why he fell.

The man remains in critical condition after being airlifted to Hackensack University Hospital. Sgt, Grossman says the investigation is ongoing.

How many times is this going to happen before someone fixes all these stadiums? Not just here mind you, but across the country.
