In recent years, several players have been spotted on the sidelines urinating. Most recently, it was San Diego Chargers kicker Nick Novak. However, current New York Giants assistant special teams coach and former New England Patriots linebacker Larry Izzo once took it a step further.

Wide receiver Wes Welker revealed during an interview with Dan LeBatard of ESPN that Izzo once defecated on the Patriots' sideline…and was rewarded with a game ball for pulling it off.

“This is 100% true,” Welker said. “And Larry would be so mad at me if I said that this did not happen, because he takes ultimate pride in this whole deal. Of all the special teams tackles and Pro Bowls he’s made, I guarantee you that game ball is probably a more prized item for him than his Super Bowl rings.”

Some of the immediate questions that come to mind after reading this story have been left unsaid…which is probably for the best. Then again, the story itself may have been better off left untold. Yet here we are.

Ahhh, post-NFL Draft, pre-rookie mini-camp football. These are the types of things that make the news.

That is way….WAY too much information for me. Just so happens I was watching Top Gear (BBC) last night where a similar indecent (involving a cars of course) was aired. One of the guys had issues wiping. Needless to say, I am over it.

I still love Izzo though. He as much as anyone helped save the season.

It’s a ridiculously slow time. But, admittedly, I know this dumb (and disgusting) article is doing to get ton of traffic. Had to go with it for that reason. And he got a game ball?!

If I was relegated to the Patriots sideline, I would drop a deuce as well.
