With their fourth pick (127th overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft, the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants have selected tight end Adrien Robinson out of Cincinnati.
A completely raw prospect with only one year of starting experience, Robinson is a ways away from contributing on the field. He'll likely be a project for Mike Pope, who many consider the premiere tight end coach in the league.
Despite his inexperience, he had intangibles that made him an intriguing option. He ran a 4.58 40-yard dash, boasts a 39½-inch vertical and a broad jump of 11 feet 3 inches. He's also a capable blocker who has shown significant strides in that area.
"The sky is the limit with that kid," a personnel evaluator for another team said of Robinson.
Although he wasn't invited to the NFL Combine, he did visit the Giants last week.
Robinson caught six passes as a junior, and 12 passes as a senior.

I thought Robinson is similar to Thompson so I like the pick. He has more talent than any TE we had in the past 5 years other than Bennett.
Interesting pick. I doubt he dresses this year. Didnt really see much of him at Cincy but his measurables are redonk.
I love the upside with our draft so far. I was promoting Thompson but Robinson is similar measurable wise. He played in a spread so really didn’t get use like a real TE. He has real size but also possesses bigtime athletic ability. I trust JR our me as a scout so I love this pick.
It will be interesting to see the reactions of the turkeys at ESPN. Where they used to question everything the Giants did they now know enough to know Reese/Ross & Co. know more than they do, so they are appropriately deferential. They will still drool over the Eagles draft all spring/summer.
I think this next pick should be DE or OL
Mosely is a RT only?
Here comes the OT. Roughly same grade as Sanders. Might be able to play OG, dont really have much to contribute with here tbh
