In a game where all hands truly need to be on deck, the New York Giants will be shorthanded on Sunday night.
On Friday, the team announced that tight end Jake Ballard (knee) and linebacker Mark Herzlich (ankle) will be out against the Dallas Cowboys. For both Ballard and Herzlich, this will be the second straight week each are out.
Should the Giants win the NFC East and a host a playoff game next weekend, both Ballard and Herzlich, who revealed this week that he chipped a bone in his ankle, would be expected to play.
Not all news is bad news, however. After practicing all week, defensive end Osi Umenyiora (knee/ankle) is listed as questionable and should be active come game time. Additionally, wide receivers Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) and Mario Manningham (knee) are both listed as probable. The same applies to running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot).
A full list of inactives will be available right here on Giants 101 approximately two hours prior to kickoff.
