New York Giants offensive lineman Stacy Andrews has been officially ruled as "out" this afternoon against the Green Bay Packers after being hospitalized with pulmonary embolisms in both lungs.
Andrews was admitted to Hackensack University Medical Center Saturday night, and is expected to remain there until Monday.
Team doctors believe the blood clots originated in Andrews' legs before breaking up and traveling to his lungs. His Brother, and former New York Giant, Shawn Andrews, tweeted "he's doing all right."
More than the game, the concern is obviously for the health of Andrews. Giants 101 sends out our collective thoughts and prayers.
In his absence, Jim Cordle, James Brewer and/or Mitch Petrus will be the acting back-ups.
