One victim was killed and another is currently in stable condition. The shooter has not yet been apprehended by the authorities.

Cruz was in no way related to the shooting.

New York Giants fans are likely to cringe while reading this news as memories of Plaxico Burress' shooting are still very much in memory, especially considering the impact Burress absence had on the team following the incident.

Victor Cruz has become a fan favorite within Giants Nation and has received the now staple, "Cruuuuuuuuz" chant from fans home and away, following his often impressive receptions. More importantly, he has become a trusted target from quarterback, Eli Manning.

Please also note that Cruz appears to be fine and staying on schedule. He has been using his Twitter account normally today, specifically announcing an appearance he plans to make tonight. He will be appearing at Sports Minded Unlimited in Warren, NJ for a public appearance tonight from 6:30 – 8:30 PM EST (signing autographs and taking pics with fans).
