The 2010 NFL draft is just over a week away, and it is becoming increasingly clear which names will be called in the top ten next Thursday night. The question for teams around the NFL now becomes – which top players on their board can slip into their range? Which players graded as first round picks by some teams, will be overlooked and fall into their laps in round two?
The following big board is based on my grading of this year’s prospects. This is not an estimation of where they will be drafted, but rather my ranking of the top 32 prospects in this year’s draft class.
1. DT Ndamukong Suh – Nebraska
The most dominant defensive tackle prospect to come along in a very long time. Freakish combination of size, strength, and athleticism.
2. S Eric Berry – Tennessee
Dynamic, playmaking safety with rare blend of athleticism and instincts. A force both in pass coverage and in run support. Best safety prospect since Sean Taylor in 2004.

Samarz – What made you change your mind and move Earl Thomas up from your 5th overall safety to 3rd and as high as 20th on your big board? Glad to see your starting to drink that koolaid a little more, but just wondering.
I thought he was way smaller then he actually was. My main knock on him was height and weight..
I also hadnt watched him too much at that time, as his declaring kinda sneaked up on me..
Yeah I remember you mentioning that. As a redshirt sophomore, I doubt you were the only one. I was pumped as hell when he declared though.
Yeah, true that. Breaking 200 at the combine surprised the hell outta me.
Actually your top 5 safties are the exact same as mine and in that order, as well.
whos your sixth?
Just relooked at your big board. I had only went through the top 50 at first. But that’s the same as well. Your boy.
Nice;-)
Before the combine and pro days, I had Chad 4th, Allen 5th, and Burnett 6th.
I have:
1) Berry 2) Thomas 3) Allen 4) Mays 5) Burnett 6) Wright 7) R. Jones 8) C. Jones 9) Stuckey 10) Coleman 11) Rolle 12) Asante
If the giants cant get mcclain (which im praying they are cuz my mentality for the past few months is tht he is already on the team) i would take spiller at 15 but if not either of them i would just trade down and pick up extra picks the draft is very deep.. ideally tho i would love to pick up mcclain and then draft alualu in the second round.. then add a running back and some o-line depth… also in this draft i would love to get an explosive kick returner
drunken Jerry Jones Bashes Parcells, Tebow….. What an a$$hole …lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX6F7me5Ad4
that video is hysterical haha
Another classic here…..The look on Jerry Jones face when the Giants beat them “priceless” I love the music in this…lol

The music is OUTSTANDING
I think I’ll be most comfortable with the Giants next year if they land McClain in round 1. I’ll be most excited if they land Spiller.
The way I look at it it’s hard to believe that we won’t all be pretty pleased by the time Goodell announces the Giants’ fourth pick. That’s 110 picks into a very talented draft. Usually GMs figure they should be able to get potential starters through the “top 100″ but that group probably goes as deep as 130-145 this year because of all the underclassmen who chose to make themselves eligible.
Since I do not believe Haden (definitely my top pick) or Spiller (pretty close to Haden) will drop, I’ll be rooting for McClain to somehow make it to #15. If I’ve given the impression I don’t like him let me state for the record that I think he will be a tremendous addition to any team. My hesitation about him is strictly in regard to other needs and my feeling that Goff/Wilkinson is not at all a bad combination for the few years that it might take to find another stud to draft at that position.
But I don’t think he’ll drop either.
I don’t know where Reese will go, but it’s a safe bet he’s going to get a quality player with his first pick. And by the time the fourth one is announced he should have significantly upgraded a number of positions, specifically making his defensive secondary better, his defensive line better, his O-line deeper, and his running backs or linebackers better.
Goodell won’t announce the 4th pick. That’s a peon.
However, I do expect him to stick around for round 2 this year, as it is more face time in prime time.
They should get the “you’re gonna like the way you look” voice-over guy from the Men’s Warehouse commercials to read the latter picks…
James Earl Jones.
I know he’s not the guy from the commercial, btw. Would be cool if he read the picks though.
Or Pablo Francisco impersonating “the movie guy”…
Oh word…. Good one.
A lot of guys didn’t find him funny, but Frank Caliendo doing his John Madden wouldn’t be too bad either. I remember once he went on Letterman AS Madden and just rambled on the couch for 5 straight minutes. Pretty accurate.
Get Emmid Smidh to read them out, that’d be all the hilarity I could handle…
LoL could you imagine him try to pronounce Ndamukong Suh, that would be epic..
