The 2010 NFL draft is just over a week away, and it is becoming increasingly clear which names will be called in the top ten next Thursday night. The question for teams around the NFL now becomes – which top players on their board can slip into their range? Which players graded as first round picks by some teams, will be overlooked and fall into their laps in round two?
The following big board is based on my grading of this year’s prospects. This is not an estimation of where they will be drafted, but rather my ranking of the top 32 prospects in this year’s draft class.
1. DT Ndamukong Suh – Nebraska
The most dominant defensive tackle prospect to come along in a very long time. Freakish combination of size, strength, and athleticism.

Fins Spent 93 mil over 5 years for Dansby and Marshall
Good to see a Hazem article!
Suprised to see Taylor Mays so high and Dan Williams so low.
Dan Williams had an impressive season but I still have concerns about his commitment and consistency. Don’t see the motor to rank him with the elite guys.
Haz – We have very similar rankings.
Players I like more than you: (Derrick Morgan, Dan Williams, Earl Thomas, Maurkice Pouncey)
Players you like more than me: (Daryl Washington, C.J. Spiller, Javid Best, Taylor Mays)
Other than that irs fairly similar
I like Pouncey a lot ROC, just have a hard time ranking him ahead of guys with ceilings like Weatherspoon and Kindle.
I think Mays has been overscrutanized this season, he brings a real presence and attitude to a secondary, and he’s a hammer dropping down in support. His coverage skills are overcriticized IMO.
kinda surprised not to see Jason Pierre-Paul in the top 32.
No chance I would draft him in the first round. Just too raw, not nearly enough prodution and pass rushing ability to warrant it. He’s a project – great athleticism, but not a first round pick in my mind.
JPP is intriguing. Someone will bite early, que crazy Al
Anyone think we could have gotten two #2s for Plax before he shot himself?
I know I was in the minority at the time, but I’d have been all over that.
Yeah I was screaming for it and everyone came out of the woodwork and told me I didn’t know a thing about football. Great call everyone
It’s hard to connect football knowledge and a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He’d been beating his wife, and had been suspended after being fined for the thousandth time by Coughlin. He had also just signed a new contract. I was saying that seeing that (at the time) the Giants were recent Superbowl winners, his value would never be higher, and that Plaxico was likely to regress in light of all these issues.
Everyone tore me to shreds over it, but I called it, and now I’m going to claim it. Thanks jfunk.
How sad is it that the 8th guy on your board will likely go #1? Its ridiculous. I’d draft Suh and not even think about it.
Especially if McCoy or Clausen might be able to be had in the 2nd RD.
Highly doubt you can get Clausen in the 2nd..
If I was the Rams, and I have been saying this since the MvNabb trade,.
I trade my 5th round pick for Jason Cambell, and draft Suh number one.
They have a decent O-Line, a great back.
Spend the rest of the picks on secondary and receivers/a tight end.
Suddenly they look okay next season.
Thought about Cambell but didn’t want to get killed on here from Skins haters.
I doubt Clausen does either but if he does they do have the 1st pick of the round and honestly I think McCoy is a better prospect than Clausen anyway.
Fairly similar to mine as well. I dont have Washington anywere near top 32 though.. I think I have Mays in the exact same spot as you..
Mays has been getting way too much negativity for a prospect of his caliber, I think a team could get lucky with him on draft day, he could really slip.
Im gonna laugh my butt off if Oakland picks Bruce Campbell, that would be beyond hillarious
I really wouldn’t be that surprised man
I actually would be surprised. They cannot take the 6th best tackle in the draft 8th overall can they??? That would be worse than Heyward-Bey…
